Beginning in 2011, the process used to produce the coins included in annual collector's Uncirculated sets and occasional gift coin sets was very similar to that used for coins struck for circulation. With slower striking speeds and greater care in loading and unloading the press, these coins show fewer marks than regular business strikes.

This coin can be found in 2012 circulation rolls of the old-generation loonie and in annual occasional gift coin sets, the collector’s edition uncirculated coin sets.

Low mintage! Keep it if you come across this one. It's difficult to find and is highly sought after today in uncirculated condition. Collectors pay more than face value for it.
