2004 Canada 25-cent, Remembrance Poppy, Coloured, Circulation

In 2004, the Royal Canadian Mint released the 25-cent Poppy coin - the world’s first coloured circulation coin. Nearly thirty million coins entered circulation in October 2004. Later that year, at the Mint Directors’ Conference (MDC) in Paris, France, the 2004 coloured Poppy coin was awarded the title of Most Innovative Circulation Coin.
