2001-p Canada 50-cent, Coat of Arms, Circulation

From 2001 to 2006, the Royal Canadian Mint’s Winnipeg and Ottawa facilities produced almost all Canadian 5¢, 10¢, 25¢, and 50¢ coins using nickel-plated steel blanks. These coins feature a “P” mint mark below the effigy of the Queen.


Composition: 93.25% steel, 4.75% copper, 2% nickel

Diameter: 27.13 mm

Weight: 6.9 g

Thickness: 1.95 mm

Edge: Reeded


The coin in the pictures is a circulation issue in mint state condition.
