Before 2001, “P” coinage was produced exclusively for vending-industry testing. The 2000-P 10-cent coin comes from this program.

Extremely low mintage makes this a coin worth keeping if you come across one. It is difficult to find and remains highly sought after today, even in circulated condition. Collectors often pay well above face value for it.
