1999-p Canada 10-cent, Test Coin, Circulation

In 1999, the Royal Canadian Mint issued a set of coins from 1-cent to 50-cent, struck on nickel-plated steel blanks to test a new generation of these denominations. Each coin features a “P” composition mark below the effigy of the Queen.


Composition: Multi-ply nickel plated steel

Diameter: 18.03 mm

Weight: 1.75 g

Thickness: 1.22 mm

Edge: Reeded


The coin in the pictures is a business strike in mint state condition.
