1996 Canada 5-cent, Far 6, Circulation

Two varieties of the 1996 circulation 5-cent coin have been identified. One features the "6" Far from "D" in Canada, while the other shows “6” closer to "D" in Canada.

Please note: only the Near 6 variety was produced in 1996 Proof-Like and Specimen sets.

Composition: 75% copper, 25% nickel

Diameter: 21.20 mm

Weight: 4.60 g

Thickness: 1.76 mm

Edge: Plain
