To commemorate the 125th anniversary of Canada’s Confederation, twelve new 25-cent designs were created - one released each month - honoring the ten provinces and two territories.


December: British Columbia – Highlights the province’s magnificent natural beauty, defined by its coastal mountains and vast coniferous forests. In the foreground, two killer whales - among the thirty-five whale species found in Canadian waters - are depicted swimming gracefully.
